    • March 8, 9am-12pm    Creating a Respectful & Harassment-Free Workplace
Whether overt or subtle, all forms of unprofessional, prohibited and illegal behavior are damaging to the workplace. Without an understanding of where the boundaries are drawn, employees may be exposing the organization to unnecessary legal risk.  This workshop addresses all forms of unacceptable behavior, including hazing, gossip, sexual harassment, retaliation and more. It helps meet compliance training requirements while giving managers the tools needed to resolve situations before they escalate.
    • March 8, 1pm-4pm   Conducting Successful Interviews
We all know the headaches, lost time and money that can result from problem employees.  A successful interview doesn’t just happen; it takes planning and careful consideration.  This interactive workshop provides guidance on preparing adequately, interviewing expertly, weeding out problem candidates, and avoiding the legal pitfalls of the interview process. Managers will leave this workshop with the skills they need to select the best candidate every time.
    • March 9, 9am-12pm   Work Smarter, 7 Ways to Reduce Stress & Boost Productivity
Effective time management is the key to productivity and stress reduction. If we all have the same amount of time in a day, so why do some people seem to get so much more accomplished?  You will learn 7 strategies for taking your organizational skills to the next level.  We will discuss prioritizing tasks, goal setting, overcoming procrastination, managing distractions, and much more.  You will leave this seminar with an action plan to help you achieve more professionally in less time.
    • March 9, 1pm-4pm   Discovering the D.I.S.C. Personality Test
Success at work and happiness in life depends in large measure on how well we communicate with others. We tend to communicate with others in the way we would like other people to communicate with us. But we’re forgetting one of the most basic facts of life: people are different. The D.I.S.C. workshop provides extensive insight into the four basic personality behavior styles. In this class, you will have the opportunity to examine your behavior style, and learn how to better approach personality types that are different from your own. Unlock the door to successful communication and build rapport and cooperation in your team through a better understanding of what makes people tick. $60/session or $225 for all 4. Pre-registration is required.  All classes will be held at EWVCTC’s main campus in Moorefield. Upon successful completion of all four workshops, participants will receive a skill set certificate from EWVCTC’s Workforce Education Department. To register, please call Melissa Shockey at 304-434-8000, ext. 253
